Discover Durant, the City of Magnolias, population 17,664. Durant's quality, affordable family-valued lifestyle is located a convenient 90 miles north of Dallas, 160 miles south of Tulsa, and 150 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.

We are only a few minutes from beautiful Lake Texoma, one of the largest reservoirs in the United States, the 12th largest US Army Corps of Engineers' lake, and the largest in USACE Tulsa District stocked with Striped Bass, Spotted Bass, Common Carp, Largemouth Bass and White Bass.  Recreational opportunities and activities are abundant with 89,000 acres of water to enjoy, offering a multitude of outdoor adventures.

Durant is fortunate to be the headquarters for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Choctaw Casino Resort includes many options for luxurious lodging, delicious dining, Oasis Pool, The Spa, nightlife and more. The Grand Theater hosts quality entertainment acts, and The District includes a movie theater, bowling alley food court and arcade.

Durant is also the proud home to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, providing quality higher education in a rural setting. SOSU offers entertainment including Savage Storm sporting events along with excellent musical productions including the annual Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival.

The Sherman-Denison area, less than 30 minutes to our south, offers a variety of shopping centers, restaurants and theaters, commonly seen in more metropolitan areas.

For those who occasionally need the city experience we are only 90 minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Frisco, TX.
